Dr. Edward Akuamoah Boateng
Deputy – FMS
Dr. Edward Akuamoah Boateng is a Deputy Controller and Accountant
General. He is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with 19 years post
qualification experience and a total of twenty 28 years’ experience in Public Sector Accounting.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants
(FCCA), and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana. Dr. Boateng holds a Master of Business Administration Degree which he obtained from the Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland, UK and a Doctor of Business Administration from Walden University.
He first worked with CAGD as an Accountant at the Public (National) Accounts Section and subsequently held other positions at the Department including: Head of Monitoring, Head of Internal Audit Directorate and Director of Training and Capacity Building Directorate.
Dr. Boateng has occupied several other positions in the public sector including: Payroll Directorate, Chief Treasury Officer, Pensions Payment Directorate and the Head of Accounts, Ministry of Trade and Industry.
